He's off in Madagascar with nothing but a laptop, SAT phone hookup and a whole heaping pile of biodiversity to catalog. Today he mentioned repeated encounters with a succubus-esque six foot Synapta maculata.
Further proof that marine biologists are the Indiana Joneses of the sea.
Update: You all know how much I love Echinoblog, so it's awesome to have Tim's blog linking up with Chris M. over there. I can't stress this enough people... you must learn everything there is to know about inverts. Or you won't ever be cool. I'm trying myself... but these scientists have a head start.
