The Algalita Marine Research Foundation's intrepid junk crew has gained sponsors, supporters, media attention and, now, buoyancy. Each one of those plastic bottles had a note in it from students asking people to reduce plastic consumption. When the vessel is fully prepped, it will launch its journey from LA to Hawaii.
Seeing the fuselage there, I'm thinking they could add wings as well and try flying it to Singapore...
